Irina Ciortan
Irina is a visiting PhD candidate from NTNU - Norwegian University of Science and Technology, working on visual computing techniques for cultural heritage applications. She is currently visiting the Computer Graphics group at Yale to study the appearance acquisition, modelling and rendering of fluorescent objects, as part of the MANER - Material Appearance Network for Education and Research project. Her general research interest is multi-modal appearance capture and analysis with a focus on hyperspectral and multi-light imaging techniques.
Irina holds a BSc in Informatics from the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics in Bucharest, Romania and a joint MSc degree in Color Science in Informatics and Media Technology awarded by an international 4 university consortium: Universite Jean-Monnet, University of Granada, Gjovik University College and University of Eastern Finland.
